What is Membership?
Become a member of the FMFN and share our committment to sustaining the MFN for years to come. We have existed as small volunteer board for eight years, primarily to plan fund-raising events. We are now expanding to allow other members of the community to contribute their talents and ideas, as well as their financial support. An annual donation of at least $25 provides membership benefits to two adults at the same address.

What are the benefits?
Friends members get a snazzy new bumper sticker, a quarterly Friends newsletter, and invitation to our annual Friends meeting and other FMFN events. Members are eligible to vote at the annual meeting for new board members, and may also hold positions on the Friends board.

Friends members will not receive any special benefits at the MFN since the Medford Family Network equally supports all families who live or work in Medford. 

Most importantly, members get the peace of mind of knowing that you are sustaining the families of our community, and giving back to the MFN. 

What would I have to do?
As much as you want. We will announce volunteer opportunities by email now and then, and if you have an extra hour, you can be part of hanging up fliers or wiping down toys. If you are really committed and want to take a bigger role in making decisions, consider joining the board. Or, you can just send in an annual check to help pay for playgroups and parenting classes.

Why now?
The MFN has lost most of its state funding over the last few years and we do not expect it to return soon, if ever. The FMFN must now fill a larger role in supporting the MFN.

Who can become a member?
Any person who wants to support families in Medford! Businesses are needed as sponsors as well but can not be members for legal reasons.
